What affects the cost of a ductless mini-split installation?

The main factors are the number and type of indoor units, the length of each line set, whether you need a cold-climate heat pump, electrical work such as a new circuit, and access to the outdoor unit location. We provide a quote after an in-home assessment.

Can a ductless mini-split heat my home through a Minnesota winter?

Cold-climate models are tested to perform down to 5°F and keep running below that. For the coldest days, ENERGY STAR recommends pairing them with a backup heat source, and we can help you plan for one.

What maintenance does a ductless system need?

Clean the indoor filters when they look dirty or the filter light comes on, which can be every few weeks during heavy use. Schedule professional cleaning and inspection at least once a year, or twice a year if the system both heats and cools.
