Air purification

Remove dust, pollen, allergens and other pollutants for cleaner, easier-to-breathe air at home.

Why indoor air matters

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency reports that indoor air can be two to five times more polluted than outdoor air. Dust, pollen, mold spores, bacteria and chemical vapors all build up indoors.

Whole-home solutions

We recommend and install air purification that works with your heating and cooling system, so clean air reaches every room.

Air purification can help if

  • Someone at home has allergies or asthma
  • Dust builds up quickly
  • You have pets
  • The air feels stale or smells musty

Common questions

What affects the cost of whole-home air purification?

The main factors are the type of system (media filter cabinet, UV light or electronic air cleaner), whether your ductwork needs changes to fit it, electrical work for UV or electronic units, and the cost of replacement filters or lamps over time.

Which whole-home air cleaner is best for allergies?

For dust, pollen and pet dander, a high-efficiency media filter is the most direct option. The EPA recommends furnace filters rated at least MERV 13, or as high as your system can accommodate.

Are electronic air cleaners and UV lights safe?

The EPA notes that some electrostatic precipitators, ionizers and uncoated UV lamps may emit ozone, which is a lung irritant. We recommend choosing models certified by the California Air Resources Board to meet its ozone emission limit.
